Sandy Marano is a gardener, gatherer, and mother of three. She has worked as a facilitator/coordinator in medical, educational, governmental, and non-profit organizations since 1998. She was quided to Circle Toward Wholeness leadership in 2002 and has been preparing inside-out ever since. Tom Marano is a teacher, entreprenuer, and father of three. He has a master's degree in both Landscaping Architecture and in Urban and Regional Planning, which is closely related to why he now lives in a cohousing community. With experience in Reiki and Tai Chi energy work, and various spiritual and community leadership roles, Tom has long felt called to retreat leadership. Tom and Sandy have been participants in Courage and Renewal's cross-professional circle of trust retreats. They are involved in Abwoon Interspiritual Leadership Training which focuses on developing leavers in interspiritual practices for service and peacemaking, in ministries of spiritual direction, counseling, teaching, and ritual. Both are certified as Permaculture Design Apprentices through Dancing Green, Inc. and Gaia University. Permaculture Design is functionally connected, life-sustaining life and land use patterning. They are co-owners of Software Training Institute, LLC or STI, an e-learning business that is currently developing the Peace Navigator DVD game in conjunction with Peace Learning Center of Indianapolos, IN. Aimed at 4-6th graders, Peace Navigator is a game for social change aimed at teaching youth the skills and value of cooperative communication.
